    ... with a V8...

I can get a 16-17 for about the same price as a 4Runner. We just want basic stuff, that works.

    Understandable.

The alternator went out on ours, but they gave us a LX 570 as a longer for two weeks LOL...damn those things are super nice.

Yes they are! we may also use the 4Runner for our cross country wheeling trips, in time. My Taco has been wheeling out west a few times now. Will likely go to my 14 year old, when he is ready.

    Ooooh.
    @Marty65

Tell me about your F-150. Considering a change. Curious about the 2.7 ecoboost specifically. Hoping you have that. Lol.

Damn. Lots of 3.5 around. I know how the 5.0 is, that’s what I drive in Florida if I’m not driving my moms new Camry. I probably just need to go to the dealer and test drive. Then put my 4runner on CL.

Gas mileage is kinda why I’m over the runner. It was built the way I wanted it, now I’m bored and want better gas mileage. We could use a Lariat or Platinum for our long (non-towing) trips and my daily driving. I missing having a truck but a Tacoma ain’t gonna work.

I drove the big truck to work today. It’s kinda too big. I love this truck but it’s too tall for short life. 7205D1F3-507F-442C-8E41-8E44894D1331.jpg

loving the mileage in my EcoD. See fuelly. I do generally drive easy, but I seem to get where I am going every time.

Ryan’s daily driver is a little diesel(TDI). The gas mileage is not as great as we had hoped for. I don’t see him keeping it once the unlimited mile two year warranty expires. Hell, I don’t even know if it will make it to the 1 year mark(Black Friday).

Dammit Marty. You’re making me want a truck more.

Guess I’m listing my runner on Craigslist tonight.

We have the same tires. Would likely run on a Ford as well.

I’ve taken the 4runner to California, Montana, Utah, and Colorado. She’s comfortable and can get decent MPGs with 65/cruise control. But power is sometimes lacking. Mostly when climbing in elevation.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
yeah...my 17 had the 2.7 w/ the 6 spd. it had some crazy speed for sure. currently on the 18+ 5.0s, there is an issue w/ the engine burning/losing oil. i believe it happened when they added the auto start/stop to the engine AND added the 10 spd.

just added an MBRP single in/out to my 5.0 and you can't get that sound from those ecoboosts :D

I actually looked at my tires on mine recently (other than to check tread depth when I bought it) Nitto Dura Grappler Load E's. I was surprised I am getting such good mpgs with the load E's, maybe I go lighter when I need tires, and improve it some :notsure: maybe I keep what I got, they are decent rated tires.
