Originally was trying to stay around 500, but looked at a couple offerings from colt & Rem around 700

Are you looking full size or 4.25 inch for carry?

Full, it's only going to be OWB carry, primarily in the woods.

Yeah I know what is involved. Used to reload back in the 90's. Never set my stuff back up when I moved to my current location in 2001. Between being lazy and getting issued ammo to shoot, I never got around to getting back into it and just buy what I need if it is outside what I get issued.

Dunno if it is still there but Virginia Arms had a Kimber TLE on their consignment shelf for $600. I almost bought it so I would have a matched set and could dual wield them. :)

I’ve had bad luck with STI, and their customer service lacked greatly

I walked in the my LGS to order the Tactical 5.0 when I saw this one on the consignment shelf for $800 under MSRP plus holster, several mags and mag pouches. Initially had some FTF/FTE issues. I sent it in to STI and they fixed it right up. Was very responsive and it has been flawless ever since. I wonder if I got it cheap because the first owner had problems and never sent it in for repair.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Afternoon all. Didya miss me? All is well, just been crazy busy, and TW was an easy place to free some time up. In any event, I got my hood struts installed last weekend, and I love them! No idea why Toyota doesn't make them standard.

On another note, if you're feeling lucky, and want to win a car, motorcycle or cash check out https://bonanzaextravaganza.com/. It's for a good cause, and the prizes are amazing! May 10/11 in Hagerstown, MD.
