Sorry I didn't ask Jim when I called to discuss how it works when I pick up my Tacoma. Jim was really nice and explained everything including how he takes the truck to Toyota to get the calibration set. He didn't mention TSS. The dealer explained to me that the only thing that needs doing is the calibration for the speedo to be correct. In fact all the sales people I chatted to knew their Tacoma's at BigTwo so that's why I'm working with them. The guy working my deal knows them inside out. The picture I posted is just one of the several trucks that they had at the dealer.

Thats what I meant. If you're only gonna save $200 you might as well have them do it and have that warranty. If you save $200 and a needle bearing breaks you're gonna be out more money replacing it.

I'd have the dealer do it so they can't bring up something regarding warranty later on. But for $3500 I would be interested in what the lift kit is. Only "Lift kits" I see done here from the dealer are spacer kits.

I just checked and the dealer said if I have it done with Rim1 it won't effect the Toyota warranty. But they'll wave their $200 if it helps get me in sooner to sign.

Yeah find out the rims/tires too. I know a guy that worked for a company that did all sorts of car accessories and he said they would charge a customer $130 for tint, but if a dealership got the same car tinted they would invoice them $400 so yeah

Rim1 told me to use this http://www.fueloffroad.com to choose 1 piece wheels and tyres to keep it to the package price. I tried calling to ask what type of lift but he wasn't available. I'll update when I get to speak to him.

How are they "calibrating" the speedometer?? As far as I know there's no way to do it without a third-party product like the HyperTech. In fact, my dealer told me that they are prohibited by law from tampering with the speedometer or odometer in any way.

Why pay and not doing yourself? I lifted mine in the garage.

I am very suspicious about dealer "lifts" and calibrations.
Ask the dealer the brand name they use for the lift. Also crawl under the truck and look between the rear axle and leaf pack. If there is a metal block like a brick, walk away from ANY of their add-on deals. My full Icon lift was over 3k. In the front look for any kind of spacers between the top of the coilover and the mounting bracket. If spacers, walk away.
TSS calibration is BS, you can do it with washers IF ever needed.

I had my dealer install the ReadyLift 3/2 and didn't "walk away". Very happy with my mall crawler.
