Hah, that looks remarkably like the aluminum adapters I made to mount my new tweets in the dash:

I would like opinions from the class. I'm getting hardwood installed and there are a few fucked up places. Am I being too picky if I bitch about this? The first one is like dead center in the middle of a 20x30 room and the second one is cracked right at the entrance to the kitchen (high traffic)

Hard to tell exactly how bad it is from the photos, but I'm going to go with you're being too picky. Those both look like the type of damage you get over time just by living in the house.

Nope, you aren't being picky. If you have to mention it, it's gonna continue to bother you.

If you can see it, your foot will feel it.

You paid for it and if it was a NEW car and there was a dent or scratch and you haven't even signed for it, "F'in A right, man!" (Office Space)
It's completely different if YOU did the F up...

Honestly don’t know what I’d do with it, I didn’t realize how much cordage that is. Good luck though!

Good point and comparison. I dropped a hammer on a freshly tiled bathroom floor and the inch long crack in the tile jumps out at me every time i go in there.

I’m a contractor, I’ll call my floor guy out on the seam damage on the top pic but the bottom pic just looks like a seam. This is just a manufactured floor right? It’s not a sand and refinish

the bottom pic is where the nail went in the edge and it looks like the board split horizontally. I can feel a crack in the surface where it got pushed up. Hes only about half done with the house but basically doesnt speak any english. I guess i should just call lumber liquidators directly.

If you have some blue tape tear off small pieces of blue tape and tape on or near the areas you’re concerned about. Blue tape is the universal language of “this is fucked up and you gotta fix it”, and call Lumber Liquidators, most likely he’s an independent contractor working for them, make sure they are going to back up the quality of the work.
