Mines been doing it for at least a year. Always blamed the brakes though thought a caliper was bad. But wasn't I guess

 

Fill the bushings with 3m windo weld, it's room temperature volatile urethane and bonds to rubber and metal. I've done it to bushings, it works, but it needs some cure time unless you do it in thin stages

 

Hmm does this entail removing the lca?

 

Depends on how much room there is to fit the squirt tip in. It comes in a caulking tube. Have to get it from the commercial desk at oriellys usually. It's nasty stuff but man when it sets up it's as good as any poly bushing

 

Well I don't have a commercial desk at the oriellys haha never knew that was a thing.

I could get it in there I think. How long's the set time? Not sure I can find this crap locally though..

 

I think if you did it in layers it's about an hour for a partial cure. The whole thing should really get 24hrs after you finish it all though.

Solo lcas...ouch. but I want

 

I feel like mine don't work as good as they did. Even though I just bled them. Used to be able to lock them up easily so I think I have a leak still somewhere. Likely my manual rear bpv.

Still they are better.

Didn't you just do the lcas? Or was that on the runner?

thanks. But i'll pass. Be nice to have a set to swap bushings in then just slap them in. But might just bite the bullet and get the solo LCAs

Are 3rd gen runner arms the same as 1st Tacoma’s? If so I have no idea what I have.

 

yeah. Pretty much the whole front other than the LBJs and outer tie rods for some reason.

They should be the same hole size for the LBJ to go into. Its just the Tie rod hole that is different. The bushings are the same too...you just put in 4runner LCA bushings into your taco.
