I don't know anymore than what I have already said, no numbers or dates etc... Just that it has gone far enough at corporate that they are sending feeler emails to the service managers.

BTW when I had my truck frame checked at the dealer and then coated....they said you SHOULD get the coating as a way to verify your frame and get a case opened in case it does rot...IF you have taken the action recommended by toyota to keep the frame protected you will have an easier time getting it replaced for free...The spray they used flakes off pretty readily. It stuck to the 2x4's I use with my jack stands.

Eh they all got "trained" on how to inspect frames for recall, and the service manager fucked mine up while "training" someone and then again when I brought it back 2 weeks later. Can't trust that article

"Only the Honda Ridgeline (which the IIHS considers a large truck) got a Top Safety Pick designation"

It's neither large nor a truck. :notsure:

Took the grandson for wings at Wendells in Norton today. Best wings around! Highly recommend!
He had the 3.5's and could barely finish the Extra Spicy ones. I played it relatively save and went Sassy sauce level.

I just got back from picking up parts at the dealer and talked with the Parts manger.
He said yes they are are going to do it. They just need to get everyone geared up.
He said the problem they had the last time was that the instructions were to power wash the undercarriage and then spray it with Cosmolite.
I don't know if they use that anymore but the problem was they didn't DRY the truck before the application.
So they now want to set up a separate booth to dry and then spray the frames.
SO, every Dealer needs to gear up. +training +equipment + etc.
I Asked what years and "He" said they want to do them all.

I'll take it all with a grain of salt and see what comes of it, when you get your recall in the mail then you can jump up and down.

Finished my project for the week. Pic heavy, so sorry in advance if you've got low bandwidth...

    20190316_231113.jpg

The old finish had water damage from a burst pipe when the house was vacant/abandoned before we bought it, and apparently the wood was cupped more than I thought. I had to take about 1/8" off in some spots to level everything back out.

I couldn't find flooring that matched the existing oak to patch where the kitchen island was when we bought the house, so I decided rather than try to blend it in I'd just not bother and make it intentionally different.20190320_221530.jpg

Finally got to use my circle jig! Worked like a charm

Lined up to point due South. The GF is a land surveyor, so it seemed like a fitting use of the hole in our floor

That's the problem with working on a budget, haha! You have to do 'custom' work with what you've got.

I wish I had your skill and will take custom over factory mass produced that has zero character IMO.

@Noelie84 seeing the router out there, and the beginning of the compass...did you do the whole thing? Or are there kits you can use? If you did the design and got it all set yourself, pretty impressive imo.

    Floor looks good!
