Took me 5 beers and about 45 minutes. My kid wanted to play inside while I was building it, but I had him wait. While he was waiting, we would blow bubbles and he'd hand me tools, so not difficult at all. In fact I got confused because i got way ahead of the instructions lol.

I've kept firewood and gear dry under it, and dropped it to carry larger loads...It's GREAT! You'll love the versatility!

    Edit: Looks Good BTW!

That's why I spring for this one. It folds like a cabrio, so it gives me the bed back for things like my Harley or washer and dryer. Too awesome not to get, IMHO.

Im gonna build a rack to go over mine so this is the main reason it’s not installed. I want to tie it in with roof rack installed on the truck already.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The only problem i figured was that I got the Softopper to fold when I need something tall, and a rack would be used for something above that, albeit heavy. I don't think there's a good support method that is quick disconnect, though. Have a build thread? I'll follow your progress, because it intrigues me lol

Edit: Turned my phone sideways, forgot about that. Subbed.

Ya I have a somewhat build thread, bottom of my sig

I was thinking of using rectangle tubing and going up to clear the topper, use flat on bottom and top so I can buy 80/20 sticks to tie both sides together. If I need to cut the 80/20 sticks then I will and use self tappers to pull it together along with some angle brackets for support but I have no interest really in adding like a rtt to the top.

That's the goal for me, too. Finish the years mods prior to Jambo, but it looks like my rear bumper might not make it in time
