Anytime. That engine is looking sexy!

Lol I saw your snap that you lost the harness. You can buy a new one but that sucks ass! I looked around last night to see if I had any spares but two things.

    1. I didn't find anything.
    2. I looked after coming back from the bar. So I was a tad bit drunkified.

well.. @Aw9d and I came to the conclusion that the window regulators I ordered and finally got around to installing are garbage... oh.. and btw Colby.. i ordered them from Amazon for whatever reason. That's gotta be why. So I'm trying to return them so I can order from Rock Auto.

we also came up with game plans for running wire, mounting the powered sub and tweeters, and some other odds and ends. just need to figure out where to start and get to it. lots to do still and it looks like it will be sittin for a bit longer.

same shit with the Mini. Most parts are listed for 89+... when they will work for 84-88 as well. Was tough finding parts until I started realizing those years would work for mine.

Got the doors completely done. Tore the OEM Regulators out and cleaned, lubed, greased and reinstalled them since the ones I ordered from Amazon (idk why I ordered from there  ) were complete junk. After that, and adjusting the inside tracks/brackets (3rd pic) and cleaning the rubber channels with soapy water and then spraying them with silicone lube, the windows now crank with ease and feel great.

The cranks themselves though.. I ended up having to reuse the universal ones I was wanting to ditch. I was hoping I could use the oem cranks but with the custom door panels and everything, they just wouldn't work. I did end up getting the universal ones on pretty good and with everything lubed and working properly.. they work pretty well I guess.

During removal of the Regulators I had to tear the plastic barrier out. This left a big open and uncovered hole where the door handle/latch is. I didn't want to see the door and everything else behind it, so came up with the idea to use tool box drawer mat and sandwich it between the door and door panel, with a small cutout to form around the door latch. This also just happened to cover the hardware for my red door pull and looked like it came that way.. like any racecar would, protruding from the door panel.

Followed that up with laying out my hole locations and drilling and screwing in the door panel with sheet metal screws and the dressup washers. Was pretty easy, just tedious. Cleared all vitals and glass and came out pretty snazy I think. 10 each door and they feel solid now!

Finished the day off with mounting the powered sub and running what wires I had and could. Got it cleaned up and ready for the stereo install.

Super proud of how it all came out. Spent all day taking my time and glad I did. Lots of work but it's coming together how I envisioned!

Nice!! I haven't done anything to my car at all this weekend. Wife had other plans and they trump anything else

Well I hope you can get your rear main all finished up. I was happy it was running, and rather smooth for 5 cyls, I'm hoping it's just a bad injector connection. Feels a bit loose.

    what up guys.

Not a lot of pics, but a good amount of progress!

Big thanks to @Aw9d for all the wiring! And @619GIRL for the welding.
Got all the wiring ran. Took my time and ran it clean, Ziptied it all, tucked it all away, etc. Got the powered sub all hooked up. Crossovers are mounted and tucked away behind the kick panels. Front 4" speakers and tweeters are wired and mounted. Juan came over and welded in my filler plate real quick for the rear 5-1/4. Came out awesome! Got those wired and mounted as well. Added some sound deadening behind them too. Last thing to do today is wire up the Pioneer harness and install it, then test. Hoping to have the carpet roughly in the truck tonight too. Planning on removing the shifter and some other things, and laying it in, then take my time this week trimming it .
