Are you sure you watched the whole video?

Right here is where you identify which ECU ID your truck has:

This is my first time tunning. How am I supposed to know what Ecu I’m running if that’s one of the last steps? Which is to go to your vehicle. That’s what I’m trying to say.

Damn instructions and videos provided and people still find a way to eff things up. Very entertaining.

I understand. But in the beginning of the video it already shows what I’ve been trying to fill out “filled out already”

We can take you to the water, but we can't make you drink it.. Watch the link I posted. It starts where you are stuck. All you need to do is use P5Flash to identify the ECU and you'll have the ECU ID.

That's a load of bull. I've seen blatant ignorance but I believe you take the cake.

Ok thanks. Not trying to start anything and I appreciate all you guys input. Maybe it’s miscommunication but this is what I’ve been trying to say about the video.

    D6054E3F-08F4-43B0-AF2C-EC383C603DC9.jpg

It was already pre filled when it came on the screen around 58secs.

Anyways, I’ll figure it out. Thanks.

Read the text. You are getting ahead of yourself. Slow down. Relax. Watch the video from start to finish. Then start it over and follow along on your computer.

I'm pleased with my results so far. 91 oct. gearlock file. Everything has been as advertised. Truck rips to 70mph in 2nd gear, holds gears with gearlock. I had to update to 04B01 calibration file. Matt helped me accomplish this through my local Toyota dealer for free with T-SB-0062-18. I also agree that the install instructions were initially a bit confusing to me, but I figured it out. (I'm NOT a computer expert) The latest update to install instructions helped me successfully flash any tune I desire. I look forward to future updates. Thumbs up from me.

My apologies to everyone that was helping me out. I was watching the video and going along with the video on my computer instead of watching the video first. My mistake.

You need to install Flash manager - Don't worry about ecu or that menu with drop down tabs that ask you questions. Just install FM then install all software, then update. You can then connect your laptop to your truck with the cable you got with you OVTune kit. pf5flash is part of the software you installed. After you get connected you will open Flash manager and then open p5flash and click on the identify button. That will tell you what ecu you have installed.
At that point you can ask your next 100 questions. Don't get frustrated and don't get disappointed. You will get it done.

Much appreciated to you and the rest of the guys that were helping me out. I made the mistake by going along with the video on my computer instead of watching the full video first. I was tired last night and I was getting frustrated because things weren’t making sense to me. It was embarrassing in my part so my apologies.

Anyways, makes more sense now after watching the full video and getting answers from you guys. Last night I sent an email with my system ID and info. So waiting on a replied back from OVtune but it looks like they are out office until the 24th.

87 Performance tune on my 2018. I am very happy with my truck and I only have maybe 50 on the tune. I know it will get better as time goes on and I'm very excited about that.
Thanks Mat and thank you guys in this thread that help everyone so much.

I’ve tried uninstalling and re-installing both x86 and x64 several times, and keep getting the same error message immediately after the installation. Saw that someone in the group recently encountered this, but I didn’t see a fix. Can anyone help? Thanks!
