    Had a similar issue with mine once. Ended up scoring the cylinder walls, instead of a rod, due to low oil, caused by that blasted T.C. leak.

    Just threw a rod today in my 2011 with 88xxx miles on it. Drive 1100 miles from WI to Texas last week just fine, check the oil just about 20 miles before it happened (stopped for gas). Same thing, about 75mph, happened so quick I’m lucky I got it off the road. Big ole hole in the bottom of the block and DESTROYED the starter, 750 miles from home (WI) in Oklahoma.

    No idea why it happened, no warning at all, and I’m religious about my maintenance. Now I don’t drive like a grandma but I’m not super hard on it either.

    Getting a reman put it and going to pick it up in a couple weeks. Still having a hard time believing it happened with so few miles. Gonna have the shop send pictures on Monday, forgot to take any while I was down there. Got a rental so I could get the family home.

    One of my best friends who we were visiting drove it yesterday and he thought it was running perfect. I was driving for 3.5-4 hours prior to it happening.
