Depending on where you live, you also get a lot of bug splatter on your bike with the roof top carriers.

Are you new to trucks too? Stuff doesn't just bounce out of the back of a truck. If you're worried about securing your other stuff from theft that's one thing, but a tote loaded with gear isn't going anywhere. If you must secure stuff in the bed from theft and carry a bike, get a tonneau with bars above it to take a locking bike rack then put gear in/out through the tailgate or just get a hitch rack for the bike.

I left another bike in the bed and hit a speedbump around 25mph because I didnt see it. Truck was fine, but the bike bounced right out of the truck and i broke the wheel.

Dont want that to happen again.

Believe fork mount, I think add on might be possible to keep the front wheel on.

Why wouldn’t you just put the bike in the bed of truck?

Cervelo through axle set up is a pain in the ass and has limitations. Rat-rapid axle technology- 1/4 thru axle quick release system. Not compatible with any other mounts

Nope. My bikes go under the tri fold tonneau cover. The tailgate locks. The cover is locked but most important it is out of sight.

Now, If I am going straight to trail or even hotel, it goes on the Kuat hitch rack, gets locked (both wheels and frame) and stays there until I get to my destination.
For local rides it just goes on the rack and secured.
But if I am going somewhere that I will stop to eat, get gas, etc then it goes under the cover and the rack is folded up.
