Genius Idea. I think TCbob should organize all the DIY's into one section.

I see what you mean. I agree, an entire section would be nice.

Um, yeah, and really need a 1st gen specific area. Most of the stuff I have found for first gen is links to other sites. Not that we all need to retread already-trodden ground, but if this is the best Tacoma site, we could do better. And that means we all need to contribute.

We have a technical chat section, and then mods and tutorials, and I think sometimes people aren't sure were to search or where to post. Even suspension can be a pain, because there is such a mix, and folks aren't always careful about recognizing, and clearly stating, differences between the two gens.

What I think would be really helpful is say a DIY Maintenance area that has 1st and 2nd gen forums, and maybe start with that. Then DIY mods can be in another area, again with 1st and 2nd subs. Yes? And maybe suspension could have subforums for both gens, too. Can you say Billie consfusion? Good god.

And hey, waht about 1st gen recall stuff, like LBJ replacement campaign, and the toyotaowners.com site. This is stuff all new 1st gen owners should benefit from. Just another idea.

You could ask folks to ID good existing threads to be stickied in these respective areas and to PM a mod to handle it...

I think this approach could really take this site to the next level.

But I don't know how to fix all the bros who post "Have you ever picked your nose and eaten it" in second gen all the time.

now now, this will end soon. Been 6 years with the 2nd gen folks. With our powers combined we make Sticked 1st Gen. keep an eye out for this specific post?

I think there should be one forum dedicated just to mods in general, the how to, new ideas, etc...

I'd make one, but I need someone to do a write-up on it first.
