Oh, it is making some sweet sounds.

I tickle the limiter on my bike (10,500) just about every ride. 90,000mi of that and it just seems to eat it up.

Like I said though, the tune has me shifting lower than before. Where I would be kissing the old limiter, I'm upshifting at about 5,500. I have to think about keeping my foot in it if I want to go higher.

 

How about a 13 speed swapped into a Chevy pickup

 

Had my liesons for almost 10 years now and only had on auto back in manual now and loving it I get in wifes car after not driving auto for year first thing I did was look for the clutch MT for life

First Toyota and super pumped I pushed hard and found the MT. Just picked it up a few hours ago and cant stop driving it

 

Interesting, didn’t know the painted interior pieces differed across TRD models. Mine are like a matte inferno.

 

What color exterior? Black?

My inferno SR5 had the gray trim. I think the gray would look better with silver exterior.

 

Agreed. I have seen some black exteriors with the inferno interior trim. Definitely prefer the muted grey

That was an option, Orange stitching in the seats and the Orange around the dash.

 

Does anyone with a late model 2nd gen know if the throw-out bearing issues were ever fixed on the 2nd Gen 6MT.

 

Nope, 97k miles on mine and I hear chirping, not super loud yet but annoying enough with the windows down driving around town in the summer.

 

So, took my truck in for some warranty work the other day. As I'm waiting for the shuttle to take me to work, the tech comes out to move my truck. He proceeds to stall it twice, in a row, in front of me. I don't have a stock shifter with a pattern on it, so I cut him a little slack. I poke my head in the truck, tell him where first and reverse are and watch him kill it a third time because he can't connect the dots that when the reverse camera comes on that its in reverse.

 

Reminds me of when I bought mine. I asked to see it, but no one could drive it to the front, so they had to shuttle my wife and I to where it was out back in a golf kart

 

Wow, that is pathetic.

 

I ask for someone who knows how to move my truck.

Thankfully only two more services left.....

 

That's almost as bad as when I went to the dealership to test drive and the first salesman I asked said "Toyota doesn't make a manual."
