Earl. Still not pumped to ride, but he's getting better.

 

My Daughters German Shepard was like that even got sick sometimes. She is over all that now and will knock you down to get to the Truck.

 

Like all puppies he is 100% food driven right now. That helps.

 

My Daughter also has two labs the 8 year old has been food driven all her life. the 10 year old lab not so much.
I have a 9 year old Lab/Beagle mix and I have to almost make him eat he could care less about food or treats.

my boy tiller is currently 95lbs and 8 months old. his dads 120lbs and named "Sherman" after the tank. Hes big and beefy looking but the biggest goof youd ever meet!

What's behind the wall?

 

Lots of dogs, that they wanted to hang out with.

 

My boy Scooter is beginning to see the light at the end of life's tunnel. He's got a ways to go yet but I worry that his time may arrive sometime this year maybe early 2020. He is almost 14 years old and that is a long life for a dog his size.

The worst thing about him right now is arthritis. He's got it going on pretty bad in his hips. Sometimes he struggles to stand up and I have to grab him by the haunches and lift his south end up. Once he is standing, he is usually OK and can walk around without too much trouble. He also has trouble climbing stairs unless I get behind him and give a little push. I have him on Previcox and I give him some chew treats laced with glucosamine which seems to be helping.

On the bright side, the rest of him seems to be OK. There are no (known) problems with any of his vital organs, he eats well, his poops look normal and he can "hold it" all day long until one of us gets home and can take him outside. His vision and hearing are fine too. It's just the damned arthritis that is getting him down.

I'm going to Atlanta next month for a Atlanta Takeover, and I plan to take him along if I think he is up to it. But this might be our last adventure together. Again, I don't think I'm going to lose him anytime soon unless the arthritis get so bad that letting him go would be the merciful thing to do.
