    All right new member here still trying to figure out how to work this website so sorry for adding another headlight thread. Any who, I just bought the Auxbeam headlights and as they look nice, I am very disappointed as to how dim they are. The halogens at least seem brighter and cover more area. That being said, I'm trying to find some head lights that are blind a bitch bright. It saddens me that I'm probably going to end up putting my stock lights back in because these LEDs just dont cut it. I have been looking at the Hikari ultra LEDs and some people in the reviews actually pointed out this forum and how they said they are great on the 3rd gen Tacomas. I just want some feed back or maybe to be pointed in a better direction. TIA

    Welcome! Your results are pretty standard for those falling victim to LED marketing. Read that thread referenced above to understand why your LEDs perform so poorly. It isn't that the output is bad, it is that they are not compatible with your halogen based headlight optics, making it so they do not actually project usable light.

    Then fix the problem by buying a high performance light actually designed for the housing and scientifically demonstrated to massively boost output. And the upgrade cost less than $20 before shipping. Check out/post in the thread referenced above for peoples first hand experience.

    Thank you. After reading that whole thing I came to terms that I'm gonna have to send back the LEDs and delete any led bulbs I have in my cart lol

    Order the Hellas and never look back. People convinced they needed HIDs have abandoned their HID desires after trying a real bulb upgrade. And getting 1.75x output for ~$20 is hard to beat.

    Not that I am aware of. An H9 in an autoparts store will cost you ~$15, so these are already pretty cheap.

    Good catch. I was looking at the 9011 bulbs to replace my wife's 9005 bulbs from this Amazon listing. I may have to do more research now.

    I think he means the new Morimoto 3rd Gen LED headlight assemblies, which are built from the ground up for LEDs. No physics cheating needed in that case, since the housing can be designed for LEDs, unlike those that are trying to put LEDs in their halogen assemblies. They haven't been released yet, so nobody can say if they are worth it or not.

    Your stock bulbs were Philips? Those are nice bulbs. I see you have a 2019, I'm curious when Toyota changed to using Philips instead of Osram. Are your low beams Philips as well? The Hellas are an upgrade over the Osram H9s. For a good improvement you should trim the internal plastic tab on the Philips bulbs and use them in the low beams.

    lows are OSRAM and the Hellas I put in high beam, yes the Philips made in Germany are very nice bulbs so now I have spares for the high beams, how strange they put different brands in the low/high ?
