You can save $80/each year on your sticker if you are not planning on removing your shell and have the interior set up for "living".
Just go to the DMV and change your truck status from Commercial to PM (Permanently Mounted).

 

Yep but the caveat is you need to have title in hand.

Today’s simple @mesojdm mod (#4)... but man, I think it’s gonna come in pretty clutch! And it fits PERFECTLY! I was thinking it was gonna wobble around, but it fits like a glove! And I love the magnets on the cover!

I love it, but do you leave it on the truck the whole time? I would worry someone would try to rob it when it's at the store, gym, or airport.

 

Just put it all on.... so yes for now! It’s all locked up.

 

It has left very small gaps in the seal under the cover. I don't think leaking will be a big issue, at least with rain, but, if it is, I can either shave down the edges of the brackets to smooth out the seal transition or add some foam.

 

Cool, is that training flags for the tires until it knows where to park itself in the driveway?

 

Are you f..king kidding me $2300 CDN? That's outrageous. There is no reason for registration renewal to be that high. Ours is dirt cheap at $1 per thousand per year of the new purchase price upon renewal. Now everything else is taxed to death...even a death tax on inheritance. Sorry, just ranting. Glad Canada is so beautiful. Very nice place to visit.

 

That’s with a 40% discount. $2300 is the price when you have no accidents and have over 10 years experience driving. If you are a new driver it would be 4-5K.

Don’t even ask about gas prices. $1.46 a liter. That’s $5.84 a gallon.

 

I don't understand how annual vehicle registration could be this high. I could see $300-$500 per year considering roads and signage are well maintained.
I would hate to see the price of full coverage auto insurance. I carry $300,000/$500,000 plus a million dollar umbrella for all 4 of our vehicles and it's about $8000 per year. BTW that's w/ a 20yo & a 16yo driver beside my wife and I. Like you said, clean driving record and so on. I guess you have to pay more to keep that extra clean air.

It was pretty easy to remove the original stickers. I have a Wagner heat gun and it worked great!

Kept it at 450 on low setting and the stickers removed well. I had to use a "Trim tool" at certain points but that is because my fingers were soooo cold.

The residue that was left over I simply removed with a Acetone from Home Depot. Many stores sell it and it is WICKED cheap! So don't ask your significant other to use her "fingernail polish"....I made the right choice and used my cans of it!


SO.....I showed it off to my wife tonight and she was all smiles!
