Are the abs sensors still connected on the rear axle?

I just know of them being connected to the spindle. Not sure about rear axle.

If you pull the rear ones would you bypass speed limiter if truck doesn’t know how fast you are going? Just a thought. If you are AT I think 529 is way to go. Just my $.02 i thought 529 would be too low for manual tranny but I can’t hear the engine noise over the sound of my KM2’s :headbang:

Whacha doing with those 255's? Probably just gonna toss them to the curb right. No need to weigh down your life with such things. Move on and grow. And let me know when/where you drop them. :fingerscrossed:

Haha, can do. They're pretty worn though, just FYI. I'll message ya when they're off the truck.

Pulling the trigger on 5.29s in the next 30 days. ECGS fully assemble kit front and rear seems to be the best option. Dealer quoting me $1000 for the install. I’ve had all my work done by them and we have had a great relationship for the last 57,000 miles.
Seems more than fair since the advertised labor rate is 6.0 for the rear and 5.0 for the front.

Where abouts are you? Your profile says something about the noreast.

I'm in southern Cal and $1000 for labor is on the cheaper side, from the quotes I've received. It's not a steal, but definitely on the lower end.

Unless we're talking fully build 3rds from ECGS and the dealer is just swapping them out.

I pull the axle and 3rd. Costs me $450 if I do it that way. Think it was like $750-800 if I don’t.

ECGS thirds. I’ll glady pay my dealer $1000 to install.

    Edit: in Rhode Island.

So I’m trying to get home 350 mile drive from Vegas and it’s not a flat terrain constantly up and down so I’m pulling over every 40 min or so more frequently at first and letting oil and gears cool off for at least 20-40 min. So far it almost feels like 5.29s is not enough. I don’t feel the punchy torgue like I’ve expected. But I’m also getting a lot of head wind and I’m babysitting the throttle. Speedo is not corrected gps speed is about 5mph higher than in the photo so real speed is about 75mph and rpms are around 2300 give or take. Mpg suck balls 13 average this far and truck is empty with no tent just the bumpers skids belly armor running mt 33 tires. Am 2017 trd off road. 6E125736-9450-4779-B0A3-02F6B845AF44.jpg

I always use the current mpg to measure throttle input. Reminds me of a boost/ vacuum gauge. Headwind can make anything feel slow. Best to compare places you usually travel. Easier to feel the difference.

Weird that the rear was more than the front. I would think 2 hours would be sufficient to swap the pre built rear third member. I could see the front taking longer. Get em swapped and post up the results!!!!

Will do. The service manager said he too was surprised that the rear booked for more time than the front.

Ya the truck transmission compensates a bit so you are running the higher gears at lower speeds. I didn’t see a huge difference either other than the truck felt like it was supposed to. I wish I could go lower but it’s the best we can do. I babied the throttle as well at first and now I don’t hold back. The 5.29s are money on the trail though.

Not sure why your MPGs are so low? Maybe your speed. I cruise at 65 and get about 16 with 35s. I just completed a Moab trip so I’ll post my 35 mpgs.

Think it’s going to take a tank or two for the fuel trims to catch up. Interested in how it works out tho.
