What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

This week I did way more work than I had planned to my 2nd gen.

Final ride height adjustment and alignment ended up with a new front strut (toytec boss height adj. seized), 2 lower control arms (lower adj all seized) and being out of a truck for 2 days.

It’s all fixed up and moved the tires as far forward as possible as per spc LR uca, and now have way more tire clearance and no more rubbing!!!

Had to take er for a 2000km test drive.

I, too installed Relentless Fab Stinray bumper, plus Smittybilt x20 winch

 

Just picked up a used set of Cooper Discoverer ATP 265 70 17 on FJ alloys in charcoal for $350. Two of the tires still had nipples and the other two you could see where they used to be. They didnt have center caps so I used my old ones.
The kids wanted to help.

Edit: yes they need washed as well as the truck.

 

I've been thinking about doing exactly this. Anymore details of how you did it would be appreciated. Closer pictures too.

 

Bought a used '15 to replaced my totaled '14. Base trim so in one marathon session, did a host of tiny, essential mods:

- intermittent wiper stalk
- cab LED lights
- always-on cig port
- back up camera, pop&lock tail gate handle
- uni filter mod

Was going to install an odyssey 34R-790, turns out it's too short without the spacer, and too tall with it. Will probably end up selling it and just getting a

For the frame boxing, did you just do the stitch welds to the factory crossmember? Just curious because the DMZ boxing kit is similar but uses bent plates or pieces of angle iron to add additional strength where the plates and crossmember meet. @Coot83 is running the DMZ kit, and the shop that shall not be named chopped up the plates I bought and copied what DMZ's kit does.

 

Picked up a set of 17" 4Runner wheels to put on my truck! Thinking about running 255/80/17s. Currently running 255/85/16s Cooper ST Maxx. Need to sell my stock 16" wheels and the coopers if anyone is interested! Coopers have 10k miles on them. I'll get them posted in classifieds soon

Just welded the plates we made to the factory cross members. And stitched the plates to the frame no need really for long continuous welds. Plus if a weld cracks it doesn't split the whole way.
