Did you ever get this question answered or changed springs. Exact same thing happen with my truck. Installed bumper and winch, came down a full inch. 886 or 888 in my future. Just trying to see which is a better option for me

It’s a good smooth ride, are you installing the entire OME kit or just springs?

I don’t have experience with the 5100 have heard they are a bit on the stiff side. That is the reason I when OME full kit.

Are you going to run bumper, winch, plates?

Do you need to upgrade the front suspension if no winch will be installed?

I’m not doing anything to mine and I’m installing a 10k Smittybuilt. I have been told that I will loose 1” and I hope I will be ok with that. If not I’m going to be on here asking what the cheapest easiest option is to get my 1” back.

I plan on getting the OME-TAK16 lift in the future, but not anytime soon. I want to use the stock suspension I paid for first haha.

Did you ever come up with an answer to this? I have my SSO on order, but I'm also ordering my suspension and I'm curious whether I should order it with the 888 or 886 springs.

I am installing the 886 springs this weekend. I will let you know. Thinking of adding in a 1/4 headstrong spacer also as I want to get rid of the rake.

Just got my bumper in along with the winch and dang is this heavy, just getting the back screws in the winch was a pain, dreading the install enough that I’m going to call a shop and just get a quote on an install. Dealing with a left shoulder injury leaves me wondering if I can pull this off with little to no help.

If you have a floor jack rest the whole bumper and winch together on top and move it into place, much easier

My FD has a pretty nice one and I’m going to try the install there in a bay and hope a few extra hands are around. I just got a $500 quote from the only off-road shop in my area and no way I can pay that, I’m already at about $1600 counting the winch.

One last question (for now) I got the Smitty X20C winch, is the solenoid pack ok to put in the center of the winch or do I need it elsewhere so I don’t have to move support pieces in the grill area? Thanks guys!

It’s not that hard, don’t pay $500 labor that’s crazy. I did mine alone with a floor jack, if you had another person to help balance it that would be best. Just let the jack do all the lifting.
