hi everyone I wanted to share a mod I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I installed an electromagnetic park sensor inside the front bumper. It was relatively easy to install. And works pretty well.

The only real custom mod was getting the colour of the switch to match. I ended up taking apart the switch and covering the Led light with blue electrical tape. Which helped dim and tint the light.

Here are a few products (not exactly as shown) that I used.

Nice mod. This is honestly my only real beef with my truck. I wish it had front parking sensors like the rears. Honestly with the rear camera I would find the front sensors for more useful than the front.

I agree 100%. While I haven't actually tried mine, I do wonder why there's a switch. The only reason I've got it is because it was part of the option package to get Entune Premium with integrated navigation. Which I happen to be very satisfied with.

Sorry no, I had to do this at night time while my kid was sleeping. But it’s pretty straight forward. The sensor is adhesive so you all you need to do is take off your grill and a few plastic air damns in the inside to reach the bumper from the top. The wiring is tapped via piggy back fuse and routed out the fire wall. Hardest part was getting the one wire from the sensor through the fire wall.

Oh a side note for the center switch, you don’t need to rip out your dash to acces this. Just pop off the black cover and get a long zip tie to feed the wire through.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I thought about that, but this was a cheaper alternative, plus I thought the camera in the front would always get dirty.

The switch is really nice to have to turn it off when you are backing up a trailer, that beeping will drive you insane. Lol
