So I previously read that the 2019 Tacomas were going to have CarPlay...now that I have my 19 Tacoma I don't see it. This is crap.

    Too much.
My Kenwood Excelon has wireless Android Auto (DMX905S). But I think it only works with Pixel phones (I have a Pixel 2). Hooks up flawlessly.

And according to Toyota, there will be no updates for prior years to include CarPlay or android auto.

Does anyone know if we can put this new Entune stereo in our 3rd gen tacomas that have the old stereo?

Hoping this comes true as I will fork out for a new OEM unit that supports CarPlay.

$4200 for the head unit with navigation. Better off trading in on a 2020 lol.

I hope we can update. Fingers crossed, just got myself a 19’ tacoma and the only thing I’m not too happy about is that doesn’t have Apple car play. I know, first world problems, but that would be awesome if they do an update through software :)

Edit : Nevermind, just finished reading the whole thread lol

Man I hope this is a thing. The guy at the dealership said they may make it a dealership update for like 700 dollars. That was hard for me to believe tho

Interesting. I’m not willing to drop $2,500+ for Apple Car play though. Some other members were mentioning that. Pretty pricey.
