That's true of most places outside of a major city or cities that are surrounded by rural zones. That's one of the reasons I liked Spokane. It was mostly just nice folks once you're out of downtown.

New Mexico has quite a few nice people, everyone waves when you go by each other on the roads, and they’re just generally nice.

I think it’s the places that have quite a bit of money going around that are full of ass wipes

So I’m replacing this old mercury switch thermostat. Does anyone know what the blue wire is for? I think it’s C but I can’t find anything marked C on the terminal block, only RC.

Not sure what B is for either. The brown wire was for emergency heat I think.

I've installed a few Nest therms and don't remember having issues with extra or missing wires

I’m just not sure about the blue wire, I want to say that’s the Common wire and to keep it disconnected as per the manual but I just wanted to make sure. Brown is definitely for emergency heat.

I believe C is 24v power which you prolly don't need on a modern thermostat. But your manual will say what jumpers and substitutions are necessary for your setup (heat pump, ac, forced air, boiler)

I’m replacing a really old mercury switch thermostat so you might be right.

I’m just not sure about the whole R and RC connections. Why does it need two 24v connections?

Have you read the manual for your new thermo? They always list substitutions and your new one is a Honeywell so I really doubt they'd skimp on that

Does that mean I need two power wires? There’s a jumper from R to RC
