    Hi all -

Bought a 2019 tacoma and mounted an ARE Z series shell on it I bought on Craigslist. I re-taped the seal on the bed rails, but I noticed there are two holes to the outside at the front of the truck bed. These have nothing to do with the shell itself. These will obviously let water in, but I don't see anything out there where people talk about sealing them. What are these holes even called? Has anyone sealed them (obviously I could fill them myself)?

Yeah I went and looked. :hattip: I don't have a cover. The bed will never fill up that high with the gaps in tailgate and three drain holes in the floor of the bed front. I understand for weather proofing a cover the cap rails need to come off and or modifications needed for it to fit.

LOL! Not that I'm aware of. Most tonneau cover makers send 2 square sticky foam pads that stick on the ends of the header rail to fill the gaps.

I'm pretty sure you have to take the front header rail off to put the plugs in. You might message the guy in that link and ask him but I think you have to take the header rail off. Just like you have to to put the sticky foam square pads on most tonneau cover makers send with the cover.
