Just wanted to stop by and say hey! @AugustaTaco told me about this thread - you guys got some great looking trucks! Gotta say, you guys have sold me on the TRD Pro grill mod, and given me some great ideas on other mods :)
Here's the most recent pic of mine, covered in some recent northwest snow!

Running 285/70r17 on fn counter steer type x wheels. Lift is like just over 2” up front and 2” in the rear. Bilstein 5100s, eibach front springs and deaver add a leaf out back. Rides great, no complaints here

The company probably put that in there because they don't know what are trucks are. The xsp-x is purely cosmetic.

I looked into spacers for a while and even purchased a full readylift kit. Then I decided on the ProComp shocks with 2017 springs. Raised my truck up a hair over an inch and it rides amazing.

I went this route because my shocks already had 60k and if you're doing the labor of removing the suspension you may as well upgrade. IMG_20190326_122126163.jpg

This is the lift I have with the Eibach 2.5" lift coils and the strut set to 0 lift. I have the single AAL in the rear. About 70k miles and still rides great. Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road is great to work with.

    https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p452/HS_Coil/Bilstein_5100_kit.html

I know Rough Country spacer lifts and maybe some others say that xspx models are excluded but there is no reason why they should be, the suspension is the same (normally SR5 but there are some Sport model xspx's)

Oh and I should add I'm actually lifted closer to 2" even with the small lift spacers because of my winch. So a heavier OME spring might be better. I basically sit at a 2" lift f/r

Right now I have ProComp ProRunner SS Shocks all around with front springs from a 3rd Gen and a 1/2 inch spacer. On the rear I have stock leafs with a 1 inch block.

I have a set of 3rd Gen rear leafs with a 1.5 Deaver AAL I am going to put on next week. Very cost effective. Rides great!

@2013XSPX How would I go about installing that lift kit, should I buy the tools and do it in my garage or go to a shop and have it professionally installed. Would I need any new control arms, speedometer recalibration or an alignment done after the lift kit is installed?

It's up to you and your level of comfort. The lift I put in was simple. You have LOTS of options. The first think you should do is determine how much lift you actually want. From there you can build your kit.

Do I need to replace the Oem coil overs if I’m installing aftermarket shocks

The ProComp Shocks won't give you any lift really...it's the springs that will do that. Or a spacer you install.

I see your truck is a 2015. How many miles are on the suspension now?

If you don't plan on doing serious offroading I'd say just get a spacer lift on what you have since your mileage isn't too high. ReadyLift makes a nice kit. It's a spacer lift for the front and rear. Can be done in 4-5 hours fairly easily.

@2013XSPX i don’t know yet how much my truck can handle, I got it a month ago and it’s only 2wd. I would like to try and off-road with my buddies who’ve got 4wd but I’m new to all the modifications that are possible. I’m just looking for advice from veteran owners. Do you know how cable a prerunner is off-road?
