I have lots of experience with them. They are much more reliable than that timeframe. You just have to really keep up with the maintenance.

There's better tunes out there than Cobb. But the engines respond very well to just tunes. Way better than my 2011 GTI.

 

How are the skins on the door panels? One of my biggest pet peeves with the subarus and my old Hawkeye was that you could dent the panels by breathing on them. I think I read somewhere that German cars, and VWs have much more robust sheet metal thickness?

 

It's not scientific, but I don't think I had a single door ding. My wife has a 2008 Passat and I don't think she has one either. I've got no other input than that.

Wow they're doing 255 now. I wonder if they'll do a 255/85/16 then...

Running 285's in 16" right now. Good tires. My former tires were 255's with ST MAXX which I loved.

 

It would be smart if they did. 6lbs less per tire than my maxx and my new rims are 4 lbs less per rim thats 10 lbs per tire i would be running......maybe the wife will run the max on her pilot or i just get a 4 runner sooner. lol.

 

The Wildpeaks were on my short list last year, but I went with the AT3 because they're lighter. The Falkens are 8 pounds heavier.

 

I loved them. Just wanted something knobier

 

I had a '10 sport wagon, the thing was great, loads of torque, sold it back to be after the diesel scandal and bought the t4r.
