I question why DeAutoled doesn’t post pictures of their bulbs or specs for the bulbs in their website. What are they hiding? This alone is enough for me not to consider them when making purchases. I, like I think most people do, base the majority of their online purchases on actual information about what they are buying and then read reviews after reviewing the specs. They post zero information and expect you to buy on blind trust. Sorry but that just isn’t happening.

I will get some updates from the team on the progress. If you have any videos please share!? :)

We are not against posting photos. And many customers share the photos of the LED.
The issue is these are still in production and sometimes people try to look for similar looking bulbs that do not act the same. NEPAChuy has no reason to lie and has everything to lose because he has a reputation on the TacomaWorld.

And something that proves my point: NEPAChuy can tell you first hand that all the LEDs he received looked IDENTICAL but they all acted differently from the brightness, contrast, and how they worked with the Tacoma.

It was all custom made by the team and they simply see it too much: People try to look for a similar bulb thinking it will be the same and then the customer finds out that it is different, it causes errors, it simply doesn't work. What happens then? That person then thinks because it looks similar the deAutoLED will have the same issue.

I seen it before even in this thread if you scroll back a few pages. Someone posted $15 and $25 yellow and white fogs when the deAutoLED came out with them saying it was similar but they are totally different, not as bright, doesn't act the same way.

At the end many like to see the actual bulb in the car. Look at Amzn where you see the bulb but you don't see how it looks or acts in the car until you receive it. While this method of testing costs the team more money and takes more time they do it because they want it perfect so customers actually sees how it looks and acts in the Tacoma before they install it and what many want to see.

So it is unfortunate for you to make this comment about them as a company because they are transparent and shares their updates/testing with members and they have me posting here so I can help anyway I can.

We launched our new turn signals too - you can see the video here and they show the photo of the rear turn:

To purchase (these are TURNS ONLY - not DRLs) these 3157 are INSANE!:

That's a lot of text to basically confirm what I said in my post. I stand behind what I posted. Post some actual information about the bulbs instead of "These will fit and work great, trust me". Listen I am not opposed to buying some of your bulbs if they truly are the greatest thing out there but give me some actual information about them and let me make the decision based on that.

I cannot agree or disagree with your opinion as it is your own but I am only sharing what the team is doing. These LEDs work in the Tacoma and if people are spending the money on these LEDs they will expect it to work as advertised. And there are many happy customers. And on the plus side they see the LED when they arrive and adds to the excitement. Right? :)

Some highlights of these LEDs you cannot see from the bulb itself:
    -Error free
    -Have bright contrast
    -deep red vivid color
-can be seen in direct sun light

The team will create a great intro price for the Red 7443 2pc and 4pc kits for the TW. I will keep this updated and post some intro pricing for the TW soon!

    Thanks

I received multiple test bulbs from deAutoLED for the rear 7443s in order to address the low contrast ratio between running lights and brake/turn lights.

This final test bulb left me content. In the videos below, it is mounted in the left brake location. The videos show a comparison to stock.

As mentioned previously, the new bulb is the EXACT same form factor and external design as the previously released bulb that I wasn’t happy with. It’s nice to see deAutoLED standing behind the product and updating the internal circuitry after some customer feedback was given.

The new 7443s far outperform the stock bulbs.

Hey!! Yes sir, I just tested them yesterday with the help of a friend. They are significantly brighter than the Hikari Phillips bulbs. I was thoroughly immpressed. I'll share some comparison pics here shortly :D

Alright so here we are. So the new deAutoLED h11 is always on the right (passenger side)

Stock vs deAuto (not sure why second pic appears more blue)

    20190323_194541.jpg

So what are we looking at... Well we can see that the beam pattern of both led bulbs are very similar to the Halogen. The deAuto is very concentrated and is obviously brighter than halogen and the Hikari just by looking at the hotspot.

The throw and spread was better on the deAuto as well. I plan to do some additional testing and see what the beam pattern of the deAuto new H11 looks like next to my 55w HID. I realize it may not be as bright, but I'm convinced it will show just how great the the output and build of this LED really is. More to come soon.

Regarding the yellow/white. Those are very cool and I'm digging them alot. I only tested these in the lowbeam projector housing so far because I need to put my stock fogs housing back in to test.

I will most likely run these over my current Morimoto TRS fogs just seeing how bright they are. These will for sure be brighter than those plus I like the yellow cause we have some crazy fog here in Houston from time to time.

Anyway here is a short clip of the functions of the yellow/white leds. Again this was in the projector low beam housing and really they should be used for fogs in a reflector housing.

Congrats and my regrets for getting hitched lol...jk I’m married as well so I can make that joke. They definitely look to perform better than Halogen so I’m down for a set. Tired of running Halogen with those Yellow/Whites in my fogs. I’ve been just running the DRLs with the fogs to avoid to terrible Halogens and still have adequate if not slightly better lighting than the Halogen low and DRL.

You won't be disappointed in the least with these H11's. To be honest I didn't expect them to perform better than the Hikari Phillips bulbs. I assumed they would be close if they were better, but they were WAY better.

The build quality is very nice as well. Has a very solid design and the wires have that braided flex sleeve for added protection. I tried these in my wife brand new 2019 4Runner we just got as well. It runs H11 in the low beams also and I got the same output performance. Her car also has the sealed dustcovers over the low beam housing and I was able to fit the bulb and all the wiring inside and put the cover back on with no issue at all.

    Hello Everyone!

I'm new to the Tacoma world (just picked a 2019 Off Road this past January). I've been wanting a Tacoma forever and finally did it - I absolutely love it. I've also been using this particular thread for doing a lot of lighting upgrades on my truck. But I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice/guidance on what to do about my rear brake and turn signals...

I recently did a purchase of LEDs from deAutoLED (particularly 7440s for my rear & front turn signals and brake lights...) and I got an email from deAutoLED in regards to my purchase saying that (in response to the rear set of lights) I would need to purchase 7443s (which are still in development). They instructed me that if I put 7440s in the rear turn signal/brake lights that they would not stay lit when all lights were on at night time. How I interpreted this was if I plugged-in the 7440 LEDs they would only come on when I used a turn signal, or pressed on the brake... meaning they wouldn't turn on as "night time" running lights, which I don't want to do because I don't want to be fined by police. I wanted to ask if anyone has picked up 7440s for rear turn signal/brake lights and if they come across this issue? Do the 7440s just turn on like the standard halogens when all the lights are on? Or has anyone picked up the 7443s and tried those out in the rear turn signal/brake lights? Would they (the 7440s or 7443s) stay on as DRLs/night time running lights or would they just turn on when used?

Also I was told that my front turn signals need to be 7443s, but I was reading others replies in this thread and everyone has used 7440s so I am a bit confused... can anyone give me some clarification on what exactly they mean? I was under the impression for front turn signals 7440s could be interchangeable for 7443s...

Luckily enough they messaged me before the order was sent to their shipping department, and because I was so confused and wanted to see what you all thought, I canceled the order and they refunded me immediately which was awesome. Definitely good customer service.

I appreciate any help in this odd situation!

I was the tester for their 2nd iteration of rear 7443s. They are working on production of the successful prototype and they should be available soon.

For the 7440s in the front, they do not operate as running lights in the 3rd gen Tacoma. They activate only as front turn signals.

Thanks for the support everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates. As you know deAutoLED is not here for a quick buck so these things take some time. The team always want to bring the best possible product and distinguish themselves from the sea of LEDs on eBay/Amazon.

Their headlights have been in testing for 4 months with only great feedback and many are switching out their HIDs for these projector LEDs. And many already switched their hikari to this bright model. They will be shipping more and more in a few months and I will announce some sales exclusive to the TW.

@Parker315 - thanks for the amazing photos and review. I cannot wait to see them vs morimoto as I have seen some other testing and people have switched their yellow morimoto to the deAutoLED White/Yellow Strobe Flash - that can be found here

@NEPAChuy thanks for the testing and videos. Those are amazing and the team is going to launch a sale listing exclusive for Tacoma soon and I will share that also

@Mantagata the team should have told you about a brand new 7443 DRL/Turn they have testing right now. Did they offer to send it to you?

For the Tacoma - if I am wrong please correct:
7443 in red: brake/tail - this is out and will be on sale soon.
The 7440: ONLY TURNS which they have out already Listing here
The 7443 are DRL and Turns and those are going to be out soon also.

If you want to test them please email the team and they can probably send you a set.

Thanks TW for allowing deAutoLED to grow and bring better products to market. It is obvious they could not do it without the support of the forums!
