Anyone have a need for boxes to ship wheels or suspension? I'm cleaning out my storage and thought I'd ask before the go to the recycling bin.
4 boxes for 17" wheels and a box for a pair of front coilovers with reservoirs.

You missed out, @Norsemanvike and I saw a 18wheeler laying on its side at the entrance to 905. Also we drove over dirt.

    Sorry Shay,

I had the opportunity to service the truck and I was WAY overdue. Took a lot longer than anticipated

So, @hoarder23 led me out to Otay Truck Trail on 23MAR2019 in the middle of the Otay Open Space Preserve (17.1 miles )... AND decided to push my envelop and expand my boundaries. Needless to say, I put my BPF skid plate to use. The day went like this...

We entered through Jamul near the Coyote Canyon Cafe and I thought we would stop to air down, but nope, we barrelled right on up.

We listened to the Father and Son Family channel for about 10 minutes and decided enough was enough when the kid asked his dad if he could pee at his friend's house, but "not on the mountain," and dad's only response was to get home. LOL

Then, we ran into the Border Patrol coming in hot around a corner, he backed up to give us space to pass. Then, Hoarder23 challenged my nerves n the first off-shoot and I smartly declined, I think. I got photos of him coming down ( see below ). Then we ended up getting to the second and third off-shoot which are the one that pushed my boundaries. He spotted me once to make sure I took the right line around a corner which I did, and the second time, I asked for his guidance. We passed a couple of hikers, a few other trucks that were stopped, surveyed the surroundings from a mountain top, observed Hwy 20 traffic in Mexico, and then made a bee-line home and we just snuck out as the Border Patrol were trying to close the gate ( they waited for us to get through ).

Horder23 sliding down the hill I "opted out" from doing. But, this at least told him where my boundary was. Sadly, as with almost every photographer, I didn't get photos of my own rig on the trail.

Looks fun. How long did the trail take and what time do they shut the gate?

That was yesterday, today was spent finishing off the moving and truck maintenance. Finally changed the oil after about 13k, it definitely needed it.
    There were conditions attached.
We were out there about 2 hours, most of it is a FS road the border patrol uses to get to observation points, the grader is currently returning it to civic roadworthyness. There are some off shoots that range from mild to medium. The gate at the western entrance in Otay Mesa is at a private driveway that BP has access to but the actual trail technically ends about 2 miles short at the edge of the BLM land, entrances on Otay Lake Rd and Campo Rd are not gated.
