Definitely. This trail is probably not considered a red only because it is not off csmber.

OK. Guess I’ll just wave at it as I drive past then.

Ha! I don’t have any delusions about 37s making THAT much of a difference.

I do want to try Shoot The Moon again though.

Does anyone have recommendations for places to camp near rausch, but not AT rausch? I don't wanna camp in their parking lot. I was thinking at AOAA but that's 30 min away. Would prefer somewhere closer if possible.

Paying to camp is like getting a splinter under your fingernail in my eyes but the campground in pine grove is a nice spot and close to Rausch, like a town or two over. We stayed there once while the county Rausch is in has a burn ban. I think it was a koa.

Just out of curiosity why don’t you want to just stay at Rausch?

    X2 on Twin Grove.

Stayed in a cabin a few times in off season. Got a great deal then.

Everything I've heard about camping there is it's dumb as fuck. You're just sleeping on the edge of their parking lot, and people tend to get rowdy and stay up late and be loud. That will piss me off to no end, so I'm trying to avoid that all together. I'm just going to go to the AOAA campground and make the 25 min drive to rausch. I know I like that campground.

It's not too bad....until Mike steals someone's truck hahahaha he will never live that one down. I can sleep through anything so the noise doesn't bother me.

Yeah I’m good on that. I usually go to bed around 9:30/10 when I’m camping.

You should give Twin grove a try. It is 20 min. from the park, and you aren't driving past the park to get there. The amenities are better there as well.

There is also the Jonestown/Hershey KOA, which is the same distance, and right off of I-81, right above the I-78 split.

Unless you are going to wheel at aoaa as well, I'd pick one of those first.

I'd invite you to camp in my backyard, but I'm 45 minutes from the park.
