I’m most worried that it would hit the frame right there at the Y and cause one hell of a racket. I’m not sure how much a motor/trans can move on the stock rubber mounts but that’s a concern.

The engine on rubber can move around quite a bit. More than a 1/4 for sure.

I was adding to what you said to make it more full featured and delicious. Just making sure people understand a compressor doesn't alter the density of the gas it compresses

Doesn't heat from being compressed alter density?

Yessir. That's a fair bit harder to measure and less predictable with the variety of compressors so I described a perfect system, but heat always throws a wrench in things. Should make it less dense, but then there's intercoolers and various downstream spray to counteract that

Another thing to add is that the roots style blowers doesn’t actually compress air. It just moves more of it. It’s a air pump.

A screw style blower does compress air. But there’s still the same amount of oxygen in that air.

@Speedytech7 know more than I do. I’m just pretending to be an expert and repeating stuff that I’ve read. And since my reading comprehension sucks it’s probaly only half true.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Both blower styles compress air. The screw type blower is more efficient at higher rpms than the roots blower.

Not much done to the Tacoma this weekend, other than finally naming it- well, my son did.. "Yoda", because it's green. -shrug-

Swapped out the spare while he was working on his XJ, fighting the lower control arms (embrace the sawzall, and the suckage!) which of course had to be cut and beat out because the DSPO didn't do ANYTHING to it in the 20 years he owned it. Lying SOB also said it was "well maintained"- yet the shocks had the Chrysler emblem on them, and were rusted through. Anywho....

Found my spare was worse off then I thought. Dryrotted, and apparently had been in salt water at some point judging by all the rust. Not surprising, since this was the tow rig for his bass boat. I'm lucky there isn't frame rot, to be honest. Dismounted the old tire, cleaned up the worst of the rust, will shoot it with some primer and probably Hammerite, then put a cheap tire on it for a second spare.

I went back to read on this again. What I’m reading is that the roots supercharger does not compress air inside the blower housing. The air is compressed in the combustion chamber after the “air pump” effect of the roots.

Finally got around to wiring up the 8" Blaupunkt Sub that I got from WalMart. 10" is probably the sweet spot, but this one rounds out the system pretty well and didn't require removal of the back seat panel. Actually fits in there like a glove next to the tow box. Also installed a dual usb charging port and volt meter in place of one of the 12v sockets as well as added a USB input to the head unit for connecting memory sticks or my old iPod.

Haven't heard the name Blaupunkt in a long time, sounds good though? What kinda musioc are you typically listening to?

Mostly electronic and 90's hip hop. It's a sealed enclosure so it has more punch than it does super low end. I may make a custom box in the future with a spare JL 10" that I have laying around, but for now, this gets the job done.

Rotated tires, changed oil, etc... Changed the pcv valve and grommet. Of course the old grommet fell into the valve cover... was able to get it out with needle nose. That was a close call. Was not in the mood for pulling a valve cover today.

I added some shoes off of a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Used a 5mm spacer to be able to put the center caps on.

I also moved my bumper lights to my corners and put clear fronts on.
