Fading Fender Flares.

K so my fenders are starting to look like $#!t and im sick and tired of it. Thinking about doing some kinda bedliner but i want to keep my budget fairly low on this one. (under 100 if i can). Has anyone tried the do it yourself herculiner on theirs? if so wha steps did you take to do it and how did it turn out?

I tried the heat gun trick...didn't work very well. I think one of the mods did the bedliner on his (if I'm not mistaken). Subscribed for post-mod pics.

i did the bedliner in my bed. i just sanded it down with scuff pads and rolled it on. saved me a bunch of money but its already fading a little. and im actually sandin down my fender flairs and about to paint them right now. pretty stoked

 

put some tire shine on em and see if that works. always did the trick for my 1st gen.

 

yea but its not permanent. if you go talk to a line-x shop and see how much theyd charge if they did a truck and could spray you flares at the same time theyd prolly be happy to do it for the 100 range

 

yeah but the upkeep i had to do when I herculiined my grill surround and bumpers was a pain in the bump. bedliner just fades after awhile too.

i'd rather just buy tire shine and hit them up every time i wash my truck to keep em looking good. quick, easy, painless, doesnt hurt the wallet.

 

I agree completely. Everytime I wash my truck i just take an extra few minutes and hit the fenders with tire shine. I'm tight on $$ so anything more permanent isn't worth it to me

 

I did 4 coats of the Mothers Back to Black on all 4
It made a HUGE difference but they are ruined so I need to do something like paint or bedliner on them.
