Could I get some thoughts on a stage 3 Icon for a 2019 tacoma. Pros and cons. Going to pull the trigger on something today. Tired of reading and researching kits.
    Thanks

We would recommend the stage 3 tubular kit if you want to go with Icon.

The billet arms are nice, but not the best for winter/salt ect.

The billet UCA's have more adjustment but will require a bit more maintenance.

Happy to quote you a kit and shipping, shoot a PM and we can put together our best deal for you.

It's a good kit. I have it. Yeah, there's the whole digressive vs. progressive thing, and everyone's got opinions. And some people just really like the color blue. My experience with the Icons is that they have a sporty, stiffer feel to them. I don't mind feeling the road because I want that information, but some people prefer a softer ride.

If you choose it, you won't be unhappy with the setup.

Same exact boat and couldn't say it any better. Icon factory set-up is stupid stiff for all but people building race trucks. Few people will drive their rig hard enough for the "big hit" benefits, and anyone who does... won't be driving a stock chasis truck for long and better have a welder in the bed.

I am running the same kit. Works great for my purposes. Only 6 months in and about 100 miles of trails so that could change but road comfort is fine going to and from work.

I went stage 6 so I could have cdc valves. Non cdc valves are fixed at a setting equivalent to 4. I like running on pavement at 6 and dirt at S(1). It’s pretty noticeably different. Running stiffer makes some of the smaller bumps less noticeable and helps to control body lean in turns.

I've been running stage 3 and the delta joint. Love it. My truck rides like a truck. If I wanted a smooth ride I'd of gotten a Cadillac. I do truck stuff and expect my truck to feel like a truck.

I put my stage 4 on last week with a set of 285/75/16 wildpeaks. It is noticeably stiffer on street. I don't mind it considering it's still more comfortable than the STi I had before this. Took it offroad and hit a real shitty firebreak to check it out. It's much more stable than stock and doesn't toss me around anymore. Hit a ditch a little faster than I should have and it soaked up even though I tucked the tires into the wheel well. Couldn't be happier.

Tires will play a big part. I'm on E rated.
