Is there any way I can lift my truck without buying a lift kit?

There is no way to make your factory setup lift your truck, some new part (shocks, spacers, etc) must be introduced in order to lift your truck

Errrmmm....What are you defining "lift kit" as??

You have to buy SOMETHING...Spacers, Springs, something...

How much lift are you looking for? How much are you trying to spend??

Nope. Old school Toys had torsions you could crank up and get about 2 inches out of and some blocks in the rear. Not the new ones though.

For both the front and back you could chop some 2x4 and make your own lift spacers:D.

Haha Tacomanator. Awesome. I want to lift it 3" but the dealer says its $1000, and a friend of mine said he can get a lift kit (spacers, shocks, whatever is required) for $300. I don't know much about these parts, so what should I be looking out for exactly?

    to lift a truck you...

MUST install parts that will force more downward pressure OR space to push your truck higher.

There are several ways of doing so

i was just about to type up a HUGE list of crap that you can do but i just remembered about something i read a LOOOONG time ago when i was a noob
