I’ll get back to you on the LCA skid in about a month. Lol. But for real, I won’t be doing any fab work for the next 3 weeks.

I already have LCA skids :D Sounds like I might have to drill a couple holes in them since they came off a 2nd gen...

I buy from fastenal. It’s a bit more expensive than some stores but they have the quantity and sizes I need on hand. Also, the hardware is backed by fastenal so you know it’s not garbage.

Yeah I think a 29er will be the best upgrade I can make. Gotta find the right one. And also some good riding shoes. I like my bike a lot I just havent ridden anything better so it makes me wonder if it restricts me at all. Like how much easier would some stuff be with a better bike or with better gear?

There’s no comparing a cheap hard tail, cheap being under $1k, and a carbon full suspension. You can rent the nice bikes at shops for a pretty penny.

I disagree. I dont even like full suspension. I've ridden one and didnt like the feel. I'm a hardtail fan.

You talking about how it flexes when peddling hard? That’s the biggest complaint when going uphill. Newer bikes are better and have a shock lock to stiffen the whole bike.

I’ve never read people disliking them on trails or descents, only uphill peddling.

I like to shop the used market. I know at 5’11 I’m a large frame as most of them are for 5’10 to 6’1. I know every manufacture is different though.

I try to buy the bike most closely to fair value on the bicycle blue book that way I’m more likely to be able to buy another bike and sell the current one for what I paid. It’s a game of patience. I used to do the same thing on PBnation when I played paintball for hobby/sport.
