If you're part of the tribe they ask you for donations like 10% of paycheck. If you live in a hood with lots of them is quiet. Too quiet...like ghost town. Garage door goes up, car with black windows drives out...reverse in the evening...Have neighbors for 20 years I have never talked to them or say Hi.

Spent 6 years in Gilbert. 2/3 of that towns Mormon. Haven’t you seen that huge gaudy temple they finished like 7years ago? Not sure what it’s based on. LOL

Is the new Mormon Temple. Too many of them to fit in the old one in Mesa.

 

That’s it. I lived 1/2 mile from there and it pissed me off every time I drove by it. Mormons ran the state, county and city level gov back then, maybe still. Pretty sure the town had a 3 story limit to all buildings, but the zoning for that monster was no problem- as it would have been for anyone/anything else. It’s what 10-15 stories, in the middle of the burbs? End rant.
