Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
For the record, don't fall for the replace it with a rubber valve stem routine. A small tire shop did this to me and said they just replaced the broken stem with a rubber one. A year or so later the sensor failed and I discovered they had put in a cheapo generic TPMS and had thrown my OEM one away. They would have done the same to you. Good job getting the thrown out parts and insisting on OEM replacement.

Discount broke one of my last Saturday. The aftermarket one they tried wouldn't read, twice, so they had to order an OEM one. Took care of it no questions asked. Glad it worked out for you.

    Attentive.

People sell them here all the time. Might have 1k miles on them off a brand new truck.

Others yet just need a battery swap for another decade of life. OEMs are cheap on the used market. I’m sure the dealer charges $125 each.

I had a sensor break loose, the sensor had obvious markings from rolling around and the tire had marks inside

On my wife’s last car she had a sensor fail magically right after swapping snow tires each season. The place I usually went to straight up refused to swap tires due to the low sidewall because they said chances are we will damage the sensor with our machine. The GM dealer screwed it up pretty much everytime.

They broke your sensor when they broke the bead or during tire mounting. Doesnt require much to snap the valve off of the plastic transmitter.

Sad to hear. Beaverton Toyota broke mine then blamed it on me. They would not let me talk to a manager. I bought a replacement for 40 bucks and went to discount tire to replace it for another 20 bucks. The stealership wanted 250. 120 for the labor and 130 for the part.

This is definitely what happened and they are not owning up to it.
There is zero stress on those sensors, unless someone whacks them taking a tire off.

Changed mine at 60k, still had 5-6/32nds left on them.

Dispute all the OEM tire hate, those are good tires. They roll well, great gas mileage, plenty of traction in the rain, and long lasting. Cant comment on snow or off road performance.

I work at an auto repair shop and am very careful with with tpms sensors. I personally have never broken any and have seen every single thing that can happen to a tpms sensor. The tpms sensor is attatched to the rim by a rubber grommet thing(sorry dont know the real name) and there the plastic sensor is attached in the tire. This is where the sensor breaks off most common. The rubber piece almost never breaks off, I would have to man handle it to break it.

Discount Tire managed to break not one but two of my TPMS at 6k miles... They owned up to the mistake and replaced them both free of charge without any inconvenience to myself.

Several years ago I had Discount replace my stock Rugged Fails with Duratracs. When the manager handed me the estimate to review I noticed it included four new TPMS. He defended it by saying that they are generally corroded and need replaced. He even had a point of sale display with a new and a crapified sensor. Told him no, that's bullshit, they are working right now I'll be across the street having a beer. If he finds a "corroded" one to call me and Ill come over and take a look. So he backed off of that angle and said they sometimes break them dismounting tires so that's why they are on the estimate. I just grinned and said if you break them you replace them on your own dime. He sheepishly scratched the TPMS off the estimate and I went and got my beer. What a racket. Like topping off blinker fluid. How many people were suckered into that shit for no reason?
