I read here somewhere that one guy bought a Tacoma and was in the shop the first few weeks and the dealer made the first payment on the truck for him . I would ask them ...

Certified means they just charge you more and add an extended warranty, once they burn up the extra $1,500 you paid good luck. I'd be speaking with the general manager and trying to work out a deal to swap it for something else, cause odds are it will always be on the back of your mind,

I think @Stocklocker owes you a Starbucks gift card for you trading for a Ranger.

No. He traded his 4Runner for a Ranger. That’s not the deal. It’s a Taco to Ranger deal only.

He’s gone to a dark place, on a circular journey back to a Tacoma. Mark my words.

Almost sounds like an over voltage spike from the alternator. I have had bad alternators that would spit out 16+ volts intermittently and cause havoc. I am really surprised it has taken them this long to diag it though.

***update*** woke up this morning to a lovely voice mail from Yota, trucks working again. So for now I have the truck home with me. Ended up being a bunk connector that the tech broke a pin when re-installing the dash.
