    Well, with a beard I wouldn't be able to see that cute little dimple in your chin then either! But mainly the gas mask thing. :D

    1/8" facial hair doesn't interfere with sealing on the M40 and M50 masks. :anonymous:

    I just had a student (junior in high school, coming for ACT prep) legitimately have an interest in higher level math. To say I geeked with excitement and pride was an understatement. He seemed super genuinely interested and had really good questions for only being in pre calculus. I always try and be upbeat encouraging and relatable despite how much I hear “I hate math” or “why is this important” or bluntly “this is stupid” and seeing a student take an interest in higher level stuff has me excited enough to boast about it on a truck forum.

    Gawd damn I’m in a good mood now. 10 minutes till I’m off as well :woot:

    :woot::woot:

    I might try teaching Calculus one at ACC here soon. Have a job prospect for it. I love teaching man. Trying to do my best while I’m young as well so students I can be more relatable. I haven’t had a student yet who doesn’t seem comfortable in about six years of doing it. I even have students rant to me about high school drama they’re having before sessions. I’d consider teaching if it better financially supported my wheeling habit. Hope to continue to tutor on the side for a while just to help.

    Volunteering at high schools has been rough because I’m not a morning person but that’s been rewarding as well. Have a girl in calculus who went from a 30 something to a B because every morning I volunteer she’s there 15 minutes early with questions ready. A high school senior getting up to school at 6:15 in the morning blows my mind.

    Also just got word one of the students I work SAT math with got a perfect score on his math portion and a 1510 total :woot::woot: man is going somewhere. He’s trying to decide between MIT and Virginia tech. What a beast

    Anyway I should cut it off there before I go on ranting like a parent about my students lmao

    Among other accomplishments today;
    I got these in the mail from the Toyota High Mileage Club (yes, I bought them). Only 5K away from #2 going on this summer I predict.

    The '92 cherokee is now sitting at a little over 301,000 miles. No blow by, and still runs great. Just not built for long trips at today's highway speeds.

    So I bought the tacoma to be the new daily driver. And it is trying to catch the jeep with miles, 4 months and nearly 12,000 miles

    And in the front yard - very sneaky people showed up this AM - and no one saw or heard them - they "cleaned and leveled out the "holes", leaving a nice pile of crap to go!

    [IMG]

    Further sneakiness - after all afternoon in the back on the greenhouses and yard, I put the last cover in the garage. The pile above ^^^ was still there around 4:30. Around 6:30, I went out to go get a pizza
    [IMG]

    I've got the sprinkler on it now, and several bags of top soil for the seams. Yay Gas Company for really finishing the job!
