After dealing with two cars that have been previously registered in California that have two years plus of expired tags, I can almost gaurantee it will be a pain in the ass and not worth your time.

That’s just the nature of used cars in California.

 

About the going rate for cabover campers, which is actually what I would call this thing. It’s more of a camper than a shell. In the case of being a cabover camper it’s a really good deal.

In ground tents are fine, I think the whole apeal of these pop up tents are how easy it is to stow away.

 

I think a traditional cabover is silly for this size of truck. They’re far too small and cumbersome compared to their domestic counterparts to be any good.

That pop up tent version is really the only exception.

 

Sucks to store them though. If I were to get one I’d probably mount it to the top of my cargo trailer.

They're very tough to swap but I can do the screwdriver and cup stethoscope. Trying to work up the energy to go back out there and fuck with it a bit. It was encouraging to have it run on all 6 for a min earlier. Rules out compression. We know it's just something annoying with the fuel or spark at this point.

I like a ground tent for certain types of camping. But I hardly do those kinds of camping anymore. Its a lot of setup for what's going to amount to a half hour total of tent related work when I'm going to be at a campsite sleeping for maybe 8hrs and then off on the trail again. Although I do really like the little popup tents that you just chuck in the air and they unfold. Problem is I've camped in places where I though the truck and tent we're gonna take off from the wind, can't imagine staking a ground tent down well enough to weather that

I dunno what you guys are talking about, but, I'm thinking about buying a canvas cutter. Not as roomy as a tent but look handy and pretty easy to get around.

You looked at a hardshell RTT? You can store things on them since they only raise vertically. Some even come with racks installed on top. What's a board weigh usually?

 

Well if this day was good for anything it was because I got to write a small program that prints "farts" all over the commodore screen and then save it to an audio cassette for later hooliganery.
