Is anybody else tired of their breaks locking up when driving mountain roads or sharp turns? Whatever the purpose of that feature is, it has gotten me close to more wrecks than saving me. Im also fed up with turning the traction control off and the truck still slowing me down and using the breaks. there is a reason I want it off, why is it still engaging? any thoughts or solutions to this are greatly appreciated

The computer automatically turns it back on at speeds of 30 to 35 mph.

Edit... no solutions at this time exist.

Why are your brakes locking up?

JaCado - you said it traction control turns back on after 30-35mph so what's the point of turning it off to prevent it from engaging if its going to just come back on when it wants to

It's a Toyota saftey thing. I didn't make it or design it. I just know what it does. Yours may be a tad sensitive or you are just entering corners to fast.

You have to hold the traction control button down for a few seconds to turn it completely off.

It’s the Pre-Collision System, part of the TSS package. You can turn it of or lower sensitivity in the multi function display settings.
