Yeah but do you need a degree for them? Much less a stupid expensive fine arts degree?
I say this as someone who got a stupid expensive BFA in photography. Without going into a big long rant....knowing what I know now I'd do it a lot differently. School was great for networking and I would not have had the career I've had in the beginning without the connections I made at that school, but that could have been done without spending that kind of money. No one has ever asked me in this industry if I went to school and got a degree...not even my corporate job I've been at the past 4 years. They just want to see your work.

Technical Theatre is a very easy way to make money with a theatrical degree. Stage management, rigging, lighting, set construction, are are high demand skills that pay well.

Our lighting designer had to move out East because of his wife. It’s hard to find a good lighting designer, even in the Bay Area. We went through four lighting designers before our director said “Fuck it, we’re flying Harold out here.”

So for every show, a part of the show budget goes towards his travel, lodging, rental car, living expenses, etc just to have our tenured lighting designer back.

If it doesn't require spending $100k+ on a degree then I'm all for it, the cost of an education at privately owned schools is obscene these days. But that's another topic for another day

I’m just happy I go to a state school where the tuition is cheaper than my high school.

I have friends at UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, and Notre Dame and they’re going to be in three digit debt by the time they get their B.S.

Just put the noid light on the Z wiring, it is fine. Flashes like an injector that's pulsing should. So that only leaves injector if I've committed to it being fuel system related.

Yeah I was fortunate I had a lot of help when I was in school, the amount I'm on the hook for now isn't more than what a state school 4 year degree would cost. If I'd been on my own I'd be making $1000 monthly payments for rest of my life, and I know a lot of people who are.

My tuition is like, $4,000 a semester. I have a friend who goes to St. Mary’s in Moraga who pays $20,000 a semester.

Nothing like starting your life in the negatives. I'm grateful that that is not the case for me
