My only complaint is when driving in 4lo.
Way to much tip in and no engine braking. 4lo should have as much engine braking as possible and tip in a drunk could manage.

I totally agree with this. With 93 P+GL, in 4Lo, S Mode in 1, ECT ON... its too much to be accurate on lines where you must go slow. 4 lo should provide a lot more control IMO

Yup. Twitchy is the last thing I want in 4lo. Slow and smooth.

What I did was I went back to 93 base. Then once I got home, back to 93 performance. I like the tip in and the acceleration when street driving. Texas drivers are fast and aggressive so you got to have some power on demand.

That would be me. I’m on 1.05 93 base, but have had my SSP connected since about 1-1/2 years BM (Before Mat). I don’t use it much, but I do switch it on occasionally. Since the SSP is designed to keep the engine in its untuned powerband of ~1800 and above, it’s pretty peppy; somewhere between D and ECT. Shifting is not nearly as refined as OVTuned, but it is a change of pace. Do not misunderstand; I’d never give up my OVTune. SSP served me well while Mat developed his tune.

First impression after the tune.... WOW! This truck wants to haul ass! The gas pedal felt more sensitive and the truck felt much smoother.

I’m currently running Kings with 295s and it felt like I was running on stock tires haha.

I was somewhat happy when I did the TSB but this Tune it’s in another level. Thank you OVTune!

I'll try base. You get engine braking back with it?

87 Base has a good engine braking. 93 base should as well. Holds the truck on steep downhill pretty, pretty good..

@OVTune, I know everyone wants something different, but if it's possible, this seems like it would be the holy grail when combined with dedicated upshift and downshift tables:
    ECT off = mpg
    ECT on = performance
    4L = ultra smooth throttle
S mode = gear lock for any of the above modes
    ...plus the on-the-fly octane-sensing logic you've mentioned?

    Thanks for the reply.
Windows 7 is supported. I think my OBDII connection is working okay because the data logger is reading back from my ECU. But I’m seeing greyed out buttons in the P5Flash utility GUI.

    This right here.

Also is there any progress regarding ECT to have it remember if it was on/off?

If you take away the stock ECT performance, you take away tow mode essentially

...You mean improve tow mode by swapping it for performance??
All ECT is really good for is holding gears longer.

    Alright, fair enough.
That's impressive. I rarely see 19 on my 90% highway commute after 32s and The Drifter.

I guess in a perfect world, there would be a tune option for every different combination of the features I suggested.

Keep in mind my 13’ pontoon boat and trailer is like 400lbs. Everything else you mentioned sounded good

Anyone having issues getting the software registered? I emailed Matt on 9 Mar and still haven’t received a license code for my computer. Just find it a little odd as he was fairly responsive with other questions regarding my order.
