you can add a little rtv to the back of the housing to create a seal to the truck as well.

If everything goes together easy and you snug it up, it should be water tight (I tested the 5KC). The only thing extra I did was glue the two ‘ends’ of MESOs gasket together to make it one continuous.

So since you were kind enough to already put the work in, any advice/recommendations for getting the old foam/adhesive off? Lessons learned? Might as well make sure I'm ready to get that done while I'm waiting on the mailman to show up.

Definitely some goo gone. I just pulled whatever foam I could with my fingers and then scraped the adhesive with the yellow plastic tool in my first picture then used goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive

Just make sure like what was posted above, you give the area a good cleaning with soap and water and alcohol after using goo gone. It has a habit of clinging on and hanging around.

Even though my rubber O ring seal is superior to the crap Foam gasket, I still suggest a small bead of clear silicone around the seal perimeter before installing. Just for double insurance.

Denatured alcohol is good for removing adhesive residue as well.

Does anyone have any wiring advice on how to wire the camera on this light? I currently have the anytime rear camera with a front camera setup. I can press the camera power button to get rear camera anytime and then front camera button to get the front camera. I’d like to make it so the camera power button would turn on this new camera as opposed to factory then front would still switch to front.

My guess is run a rca cable to it from the anytime adapter you will lose your stock rear cam.

Is there a good source for 3 Baja designs red lights or should I just look into ordering them on Amazon ? And is there anything in the wiring harness needed to make these lights dim/bright when braking
    Thank you!

I was directed to @memario1214 for pricing. He quoted me much cheaper than going through BD direct with the Tacoma forum discount. Pm him with what you need.

For the KC5, how are you wiring it into the stock plugs? Do you have OEM plug part numbers? I'd rather not cut wires...

I cut wires and then used the waterproof self solder wire connectors and then heat shrink on top of that. I didn't have the 3 pin connector that meso sells I believe so I just cut them

I have 3 red and 2 white of the old style. Was holding onto them hoping the original design would be released. They are unused, but I did paint the housing black because I didn't like the BD logo.

Yes. There’s no way the new models are fitting in the old housings.(sorry!) I’ll snap a pic tomorrow, but the size change is pretty substantial.
