    It’s been a little while but I finally got all of the components to do my full JBL swap! Wait, but it’ll still be JBL, kind of :D.

    I’m planning on doing the install 2 weekends from now... already have plans this weekend. I’ll also be installing an anytime backup cam kit.

    I'm just here to see how this turns out. This is pretty much my ideal setup, except I kind really want a HU with wireless AA. Interested to hear your take on the Key amp. Also no sub? Was kind of thinking under seat 8" with built in amp?

    I glanced at my sub location, but if you just remove the sub/amp cover do you get the storage back then? Might have to take another look. Would love to see some pics of the process.

    If you replace the HU it’s a much simpler process.
    I’m surprised how small the Kicker Key amp is!
    As for the sub, I’m more concerned with reclaiming the storage space so yes I’m going without a sub for now. If I do decide I need a sub, it’ll be a self contained model like the Kicker Hideaway which I had in my WRX, and I’ll mount it under the drivers seat.

    My amp pro works flawlessly. It even allows you to set minimum volume if your subs are too loud at low volume and it also comes with a bass adjustment knob which will save you $30 on an aftermarket one for your amp.

    I know this is an old post. But what works better idatalink Maestro or the amp pro. I want to keep the factory HU but replace all speakers, amp and sub.

    The maestro is for replacing the radio. The amp pro is for keeping it

    iDatalike and rockford said the Maestro is for replacing the amp not the head unit

    You can get the Rockford DSR-1 which is also a DSP. It’s a good product but much more complicated and involved compared to the amp pro.

    Looks like there is also a Meastro AR, but that might just be for Kenwood amps, not sure. I really don't want to use the features of the Rockford one. i just want to get rid of the factory amp. I have an iDatalink remote start in my truck. They make good stuff...
    Just trying to figure out the best amp by-pass. Doesn't the AmPro loose it settings or something?

    It also looks (From the directions) that the factory amp has to stay installed with the AmpPro and from what I thought with the Maestro you get rid of it. But I am not 100% sure. I know you guys have done all of this before...
