I didnt like it on flat either. I hate all bikes pedaling uphill haha. I just dont sit very much so the "comfort" of it isnt necessarily appealing to me. Plus I havent done many drops but I've read hard tails have advantages on drops too

Given I’ve never been on a nice or carbon hardtail, but have been on a carbon full suspension. So my comparison isn’t fair. One felt like a Swiss Army knife and would cut and be as agile as possible, the other felt fat heavy and needed more effort to get it to react.

This is the bike i rode for a summer and flipped.

    https://www.bikeradar.com/us/gear/c...uct/review-trek-top-fuel-9-9-ssl-us-09-34712/

Again I don’t mind paying a good bit for a bike, if I feel I can enjoy it for a summer and lose a small bit or break even.

Or too small, all bikes are going to feel a tad weird when going from one to the other.

Kinda like friends and me riding at a few motocross tracks and swapping bikes for a few laps. It’s awkward at first, but you adjust.

As long as on a bike you have good range between seat and pedals I feel you’re good. Handlebars can be extended or shortened, but there’s not much you can do about the foot pedals distance.

Lol no I do, but I mean the areas where the "comfort" comes into play I'm not usually sitting

I never sit on the trail, climbing those damn asphalt hills at oak mtn though I gotta sit. Kinda like on dirt bikes some parents would take their kids seat off to get them to stand lol.

Haha yeah I know. Idk I just really like the feel of the hardtail. It feels solid, it feels tight. I mean I've only ridden a full suspension on sidewalk but it was like wearing boxers..too much freedom lol

The owner of the store is a mountain biker. And several of our regulars are avid bikers. They ride twice a week at the guntersville state park.

I see you trying to get to the "see Scotty, Brian knows what he's doing and is getting a front locker" or some sort of argument lol

It could be the "s" means the compressor switch + the locker switch = 2 switcheS

Ah I missed the S on lockers, I'd say he's doing front and rear then.

Most likely because he has the funds to do it.

or possibly because he doesn't want a bunch of numbskulls acting like the world is going to end if he doesn't get a front locker.

I see you still in denial, its ok to admit your wrong you have already been wrong once today and admitted it, that's the 1st step to recovery
