Weird noise from engine

I have a 02 Tacoma with 210k miles. I noticed this noise a few months back but it is getting louder, I have the OBD II Bluetooth and everything in green minus the P0420. Gears don't slip, and the truck has plenty of power any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Might be pulleys, use a mechanic's stethoscope to isolate noise

Sounds like a bearing. Id open the hood and take another video. Then use a mechanic stethoscope to isolate it.

Following as I have a similar noise and just got the same code (lean) twice. My noise isn’t as bad, but I have not been able to isolate it yet.

 

take all of the belts off and see if the noise goes away first. You wont hurt anything running it for the 20 seconds with the belts off.

 

Definitely sounds like pulleys grinding. Use a mechanic's stethoscope on each idler and pulley and see where it makes noise

do NOT trust the Torque code definitions - look up the codes in Haynes/Chilton manual - I had a P0140 that Torque said was a MAF sensor that was really an O2 sensor according to the Chilton book.

 

I stethoscoped mine today. Feels like it’s coming from water pump area. I need to do timing belt anyways so looks like it’s time to make that happen!

 

I had the same sound. It came from the AC pulley I removed the belt to see if i was right and I was. Check for red dust around the pulleys that's the best giveaway. The belt was too tight which is why it happened.
