    some guy just posted on facebook about his SPC UCAs failing, here's the pic. I can't really tell what happened but I googled SPC UCA failures and it's apparently a "common" thing for them to have issues?

    It was common in their first design. Not so much when they redesigned them though.

    Look like the ball joint failed on that one though.

    when did they redesign them? obviously I have no idea when this guy got his. I see threads on the 4runner forums from 2018 about failures though.

    Oh wow. I haven’t looked into them recently. It was very early in their production that they redesigned them, not exactly sure when though.

    Crazy that they are still having issues though. Not like you can just switch to a different ball joint in them either.

    I haven’t seen many that wheel them hard though. Jimbo might have had them on his truck I think.

    I just don’t think the adjustable ball joint is a design that can take long term abuse.
