Gulches? You have my attention. Probably wouldn't camp since it's only 30 mins from me, but would definitely have some beers and cook some lunch or dinner.

Last year we were on the way to a trail ride, behind a tractor trailer. Big black bird, not sure what it was, but it was a carrion eater on the side of the road, tried to take off while the semi was passing. It got sucked back down to the road as the semi passed, right under my passenger wheel. Big thunk and crunch. My wife practically shrieks and I'm in the driver's seat doing a

No serious offroading for me though, not yet or in this truck ...

Just Google Gulches ORV. It's not even 30 mins from you. You gonna have to lift that truck or ride passenger.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! And sorry @dan0mite I was on second shift last night so I woulda missed dinner anywho.

Does anyone haul a baby seat in the back of their taco? Is there enough room? I know it won't fit in my access can, but we're spending an afternoon at the stealership for airbag replacement on the wife's t4r , so we'll probably do some shopping while we're there.

A baby carrier type car seat like the ones that snap into bases and can snap into a stroller will be tight unless you move a seat quite a bit forward. May be a bit better if you center it. If you go with a convertible car seat you’ll be much happier and it’ll fit much better with a lot more room due to the more upright nature of it vs the baby carrier. Plus, once you buy one, you can use it until 40+ lbs depending on seat.

We have a Chicco NextFit Zip in the van and a Graco 4Ever in the truck. Both come with infant inserts. I REALLY like the NextFit a lot more than the 4Ever but the NextFit goes from newborn to 65 lbs (I believe) and the 4Ever goes from newborn to 120. The convenience factor of the combo units that let you snap into bases and strollers is short lived because of how fast your kiddo will grow and you’ll end up looking for a dedicated car seat sooner than you think.

You and your wife are more than welcome to stop by and we can show you both that we’ve got but if you don’t mind changing out the seat at 65 lbs I couldn’t recommend the NextFit more.

I've had booster seats in my two tacos now, but not full blown rear facing baby carriers. They have gone behind the driver's seat since I am short. I have to imagine it would be a tight fit for tall people and a full size carrier.

We've switched the car seat from the 4Runner to my Tacoma with no issues. It is a full-sized seat but not a carrier-holder like @dan0mite is talking about. I'd assume that style would be a real tight fit.

    Front or rear facing?

If rear facing, depending on what you have, the passenger leg room will suffer up front.

We have a (currently rear facing) Nuna Rava and most people can sit up front without problems if they are under 6' tall.

Should be a Yota party. I’ve got my taco, got friends coming in an FJ, a T100, and a shiny new 4Runner.

We used to all drive jeeps, I guess we grew up?????

We are still clueless on all of it haha. We have a seat that goes from stroller to snapping into a base in the car. Im pretty sure it's rear facing.

Yea that's what were kinda afraid of. We'r used to seeing it in my brother in law's tundra which is massive and has plenty of room in the back seat.
That's good to know. Well I guess we're going to take the carseat with us today

If you have that kind, the passenger seat will be pretty much all the way forward.

Good thing is, you'll only need that kind of seat for a few months, then you can move to one that is "fixed".

Do we need to hit B/S/T up for new taillights before or after?

After. I still have some that work in a box somewhere. A little duct tape and they'll be good to go.
