Canadians DESPISE Americans. It's kind of pathological. Your license plate meant you could do nothing right.

On the road, the feeling is mutual. I spend a lot of time camping in way upstate NY and VT and the Canadian plates always seem to indicate a loose screw between the steering wheel and the gas pedal.

Morning, peoplefaces. Happy Tuesday! A brisk 11 degrees at the house this morning; a bit on the cool side for March. This cold spring is really putting a dent in my maple syrup production (all 6 taps  )

When I was working in Augusta, we had 3 separate incidents in one summer where a car with Quebec plates ran straight and went off of I-95 on a gentle curve just North of town. Very odd.

Maple weekend this past weekend here in NH. I went to my favorite sugar house and stocked up. 2 gallons. 1/2 gal of the light and 1-1/2 gal of the amber. Unfortunately they didn't have any dark yet. I like to cook with the dark, so I will be back later!

Yeah... that 'gentle' curve gets sharp real quick when you have your foot to the floor!

When you say dark, do you mean the grade B syrup? I can imagine that's really good to cook with.

Yeah, dark is usually late-season production. It's also mostly what I get, since I just keep adding more sap to the pot on the wood stove and simmering it down until the trees quit for the season.

You could be also talking about those drivers in big trucks that hit shit in Boston over near the Garden and cause serious damage

I was surprised how fast they drive over the limit in Canada despite warning signs on the highway saying 50km/h over the limit could be a $10,000 fine, suspended licence and impounded car.

I like both the Grade A dark and the Grade B. Yes, most people like the Grade B for cooking. Bacon wrapped maple glazed scallops are the bestest thing on earth.

Hey, been meaning to ask if you ever got the Nespresso to work for you?

Yep, I did. They warrantied the first machine and were really good about it. They sent me a new machine with a return label so I could box up the first one in the new box and send it back. The new machine has been working great ever since. I'm trying some new pods, finding out which ones I like. So far, aside from the first unit having an issue, I've been really happy with it :pccoffee:

Yep, of course they are good about it. They want you to keep buying those pods that only they sell!
