Agreed. But just because the listing says price is firm doesn’t always mean price is super firm

Yea I was between the chameleon and the Stache when I was in the market a few years ago. Primarily went with the Stache since I cound demo one and I have a good relationship with my LBS that is a trek dealer.

    Do it :boink:

I really have to resist this time. I just started a bikepacking build, so that has to take priority for 2-wheel stuff... for now.

I also just started a Taco build this year, so most of my toy wad was blown early in 2019.

You all are my kind of evil, though! I always appreciate proper bad influences!

Quick weekend trip down to Moab, to pick up my brothers new bike - 2019 Santa Cruz Tallboy Alu R, pretty sweet bike!

I've noticed people discussing Diamondback's in this thread - I have a custom build Diamondback Sortie 29er, i've had it for about 5 years, great bike, great geometry, i've upgraded all the components except the suspension, and i'm very happy with it.

Couple Tacoma related questions: My tailgate hits my Kuat Base 2.0 rack, even when the rack is lowered. I guess this is because the 3rd gen tailgate is thicker than the 2nd gen. Kinda sucks, but I plan on buying a hitch rack swing-arm adapter to swing it out of the way so you can get into the back of the truck, probably the Kuat one (http://www.kuatracks.com/products/hitch/pivot/). Anybody use these on their truck?

Here's a pic from my weekend - drove up the Shafer Trail. I can't wait for my Leer 100XR to get here!

Kuat got the design and OK to build from Rakattach, which is a Utah company in case you wanna buy local. I know a few people that have that setup with no issues. I just wish a shuttle rack could pull off a swing out. But that is a lot of weight out on a lever arm.

I’m in the market for a new tray style hitch rack. The tailgate to rack interface has me considering the RockyMounts Backstage.

Looks like a decent setup, aside from being heavy. Anyone have any experience with this rack?

I've seen some of those Rakattach's here in SLC, I knew they were local. I have a hookup on Kuat stuff through Liberty Mountain, so I can get the Kuat one much cheaper. That's good to know they got the design from Rakattach, because those seem really well made and a good design.

Those shuttle racks are cool, but you are probably right about the weight on the lever arm.

Nah, I don't know anybody that works there, just have my own pro account and my wife has a corporate account through her rafting company.

I was just looking at that RockyMounts backstage....looks pretty cool, and the price is good through LM.
I have owned lots of RM roof mounts, starting with the basic fork trays (which I still have, and still have two of the RockyMount Brassknuckles roof mounts from my old WRX i've been holding on to....they are awesome racks, great products.
