    Hello Everyone,

I just bought a new 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD 3.5L.(First truck ever) I noticed that every once in a while I get like a clack/click sound that I feel the vibration in my feet from the driver side. The car has 3500 miles. It is not always happening but usually is in the mornings in my way to work.

This happens usually when I am going around 35pmh and I stop for a red light or stop sign.

I never had a RWD car so I don't know if this is normal? I am planning to ask the dealer when I take it the for my first 5000 miles service.

    Thank you

The clicking sounds are usually due to the cleaning cycle. The vibrations may be in your head or something you should mention to the dealership.

Is only one click/tick noise never multiple.

LivinOnEdge When I meant vibration I mean I feel the sound trough my seat in my feet.

Name01 - It does happen when I am going lower speeds as well but it is not constant.( It's never on every single stop)

Brake pad slap....it's a thing with the brake pads on these trucks. Only happens when you apply the brakes.

    User Name01 -

How do I fix this? It sounds silly since is a new truck.

Do a I have to just deal with it for the entire life of the truck?

    Thanks.

Usually a sign that the pads are worn down, because there is a larger travel distance between the pad surface and disk surface. I fixed mine by adding retainer springs to the top pin that holds my brake pads. I had some left over from a previous pad set. You might suggest that to the dealer.

I get a loud click/clank from the front suspension after I stop, put the vehicle in Park and let off the brake. Kinda sucky.

Does the truck move some? Sounds like it is going into park and it moving whatever little space there is between gears.

OK, can you be more specific on the sound? Is it a tick clank clack, a tick clack ting, click click clang, or just a cling clang cling?

It's a one time noise. Sounds tinny, like thin pieces of metal would sound if you bent them to the point of cracking. I hear it most often when I park and attempt to exit the vehicle quickly so it's been difficult to pin down. The sequence is this: reverse into parking spot and come to a full and complete stop with foot firmly on brake, slide shift lever into park while maintaining brake pressure, open driver's door and start to exit while letting off the brake. Crack. Front end area. Forward of the windshield for sure.
